Rear strut bar install? AAS?

Ok, I got a rear strut in like a bargain deal with some wheels and stuff and I need to put it on. Do I have to take out the rear AAS motors or is there a way around that? If I do have to take them out, should I just take out the whole System, front and back....... What else do I need to do to put the strut bar on, any tips on cutting away carpet/ speaker tower? thanks alot for any help

If you want to keep the AAS, I think it will fit. You will have to remove the AAS to get the strut bar on, but if memory serves me correctly, there should be no problem just re-attatching it after the bar has been installed. Give it a whirl...

Remove the AAS all together...chances are they don't even work at all. Use the existing plugs, that attach to the AAS Motor(s), for 12v Ignition switches for whatever.

*edit* former AAS on my car was absolutely useless!

FWIW, I use the Left Shock Tower Plug for my electric fan and the other for my RPM Switch to activate my Auxilliary Ports...

If you are facing the plug, there are 6 pins. Use the center top one, closest to the push tab. When you do, use a 1/4" spade. Fini!

Well, its installed, I recomend getting a dremel if your gunna do this, I dont have one so I had to settle for a drill and a 4 inch disc grinder. It wasnt hard, just getting the interoir all apart was a bitch, it was easier putting it back together though. cutting the carpet was wierd aswell, kinda hard to find where to make the cut. but I guessed on the where to cut the speaker boxes and it worked fine. but yeah, it handles better, I would recomend getting both front and rear strut bar, I noticed when I got my front one, that the rear end kicked out more due to the front end being a little more well plated, now they both stick pretty damn well. plus it looks cool........ thanks for the help, oh yeah, I took the aas motors off
