Diy Fcd ???

I'm trying to build one of these and can't find this part. 10k 10 Turn Cermet Trimmer. Is that the same thing as this? http://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncomme...s=503;518;688;

No, thats not it. Its a miniature pot. About as big as the nail on your little finger. About 1/4 inch square. I've even seen them at Radio Shack. You might try them. Fact is I think I ordered all the parts thru Jameco last year. If I have time I'll go through the catalog and get back to you.

The closest one I've found at Jameco is this one.

Cheers

For some reason I can't post the pic here, but you can see it here. Sorry about the quality. You get the idea though.

Aw shucks, forget about the one I posted before. Try this one http://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncomme...nbr=501&ctgys=

That is what you want,not the one I posted above. Just write in cermet in the search engine on Jameco site.

EDIT: Ah, this is better, forget the one above, get this http://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncomme...nbr=501&ctgys=

I like that one. Would the 0.25W make a difference?

I edited the post above. Buy the second one I posted. Thats the one I used. And you might try Radio Shack, but I was thinking of another project when I mentioned that earlier. Try em anyway.

The parts listed on http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/fcd/diy_fcd.htm make it a relatively easier to do. Especially the board. Remember, that fcd is for a series four, not a series five.
