rear rotor cut off?

sooo 87 TII new reman motor.

I every once in a while hit a wall like rotor cut off. sometimes 3k or 4 or 6k

full throttle only, some times when going straight, almost all the time when taking a sharp turn.

I thought at first it was something with the fuel tank baffles or sock because when the tank was low it would not do it, but i just filled up and it did it going straight off the line

i can only assume boost cut. i have a pre cat elimanator. thats it.

No boost gauge. (beside the crappy factory) I think I need to start there. I am thinking the pre cat test pipe is allowing me to overboost.

I need to pull the plugs. 500 miles on the reman motor. although all the flooding problems i had when she first started im sure the plugs are crap by now. I dont know what whould cause a ign miss at full throttle on occation. it does not do it all the time just once a week.

it could be your 2ndary injectors messing up. make sure you install a ground wire from the neg. battery to the ground under the rat nest. there is also a service bullitan from mazda to ground a wire on the boost sensor because of that 4k miss.

Category Applicable Model/s Subject Bulletin No. 042/88
4 1986-87 RX-7 SURGE OR STUMBLE Issued 2/11/88
DURING ACCELERATION Revised
DESCRIPTION

If you encounter a 1986-87 RX-7 vehicle with a surge or stumble during acceleration at more than 2500 rpm, this may be due to an improper ground between the emission control unit and the air flow meter. Test for the symptom according to the procedure shown in this Service Bulletin. (Refer to Service Bulletin Category 4, No. 036/87.)

The ground circuit of the emission control unit has been improved since November 1, 1986.

VIN OF PRODUCTION CHANGE

CHECKING PROCEDURE

Use an ohmmeter to check the resistance between the 2C terminal of the emission control unit and the boost sensor/(pressure sensor) ground terminal (BrB). If the resistance is not 0, proceed to the next step.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Connect the ground wire (BrB) of the boost sensor/(pressure sensor) and the bolt of the water filler neck with an additional wire as shown.

NOTE:
Do not ground the ground wire (BrB) of the boost sensor/(pressure sensor) to the body panel. For correct operation, ground the wire as shown.

2. Use electrical tape or tie-wrap to attach the additional wire to the engine harness
