Rear end removing

I searched and was unable to find anything on it. But, someone told me it is on here. I'm just trying to drop the diff and swap it with a GTU rear end, without having to drop the whole sub-frame.

its only 17nuts/bolts.

unbolt the drive shaft, unbolt axles inner and outter, remove bolt from that lil hangy down dog bone thing(sorry cant remember what its called) and undo the 4nuts holding it to the subframe.

Or you could look at the FAQ and DL the FSM.

There is 3 bolts on the side of it, and it is almost impossible to fit anything in there to unscrew them.
Thats the subframe part you are talking about?

dropping the subframe makes it much easier to remove the front differential mounting bolts.

actually after getting the Driver's side Subframe Loosened up,just tuck a bar between the subframe and the car..you can get at the Front diff mount, without Dropping the whole back Subframe.

Lateral links run from the center of the subframe out to the control arms. The have ball joint ends and set toe. The vertical link runs up and down and if you shorten it the adds + camber.

dropping the sub frame isn't as bad as it seems. its like 8 bolts with the rear suspension and that way you can pull it away from the car, swap the diff, then jack it back up in.
