Rear Differential- How bad did I screw up?

I dropped the rear subframe out of my 89 Turbo II today and sort of forgot one little detail. I had the ends supported but forgot to support the differential. Anyways, I walked inside for a few minutes after it dropped without noticing that the right half-shaft had slid out a couple of inches and fluid was dripping out. Just wondering if I have created irrepairable damage to a part I need?

On the bright side, at least I am consistant. I always learn things the hard way.

It will be fine. The output shaft slides right out of the diff. That is what its supposed to do.

BTW, did you get my PM?
