Rear control arm bushings (Prothane)

Has anyone installed the Prothane rear control arm bushings? Mine keep squishing out when i press the rod in. Basically, has anyone succesfully installed these and if so how did you do it?

I believe there is a sticky thread in the suspension forum by jimlab about how to press in bushings correctly. Search for it.

I know how to press bushings in. My question is whether someone else has had the same problems with Prothane bushings as i am.

Hopefully the problem is solved.....Hard to tell that the arm has inner sleeves.

I used a large "C" clamp & two steel plates to hold the bushings in place.
Then I lined the arm up with the mount & banged the arm from the clamped plates into the mount.

My friend Owen had the same problem, so that makes 2. I didn't get them because of this.

the bushings dont fit unless you take the "cups" out of the control arm. The bushings replace thos cups that used to hold the OE rubber bshings.

no, I used a flathead scredriver. There is a ridge on the inside of the hole, as the two cups do not sit back to back on teh inside...so you can get a flatblade in that ridge between the two cups. Then just hammer it out a bit, working in a circular directon. Then hit the other one from the other side.
