Question Rear of car is acting weird...

Ok, I have a '88 SE, and when I drive over bumps at speed, it tilts to the left slightly, and its very annoying. I noticed the right rear shock is leaky when I replaced the brake pads, but I have not yet had a good chance to replace it as I would need to borrow a strut compressor and I would rather work on it when I am driving my other car which stored 70miles away. Also, on turns or hard bumps a "cracking sound" or creaking sound is apparrent. Not effecting drivablity at all. But the bumps and the slight twist of the car is irritating at this point.

So I am wondering if this is normal if a rear shock is leaking. Also, what is the well known part(I've heard from FC owners) -I think a rear-end mount that commonly breaks. I am not sure of the syptoms, but haven't found the answer with the search.

There was a similar thread to this a couple days ago. I think it's your rear steer bushings. My car does this too... I think I'm going to go ahead and buy the rear steer eliminator bushings and replace everything else with urethane.

rear shock leaking means the shock needs replaced because the seals are blown.

Cracking sound.... could be the rear steer bushings, could also be the toe adjustment bushing in the front of the control arm where it bolts to the subframe.

Rear steering bushing? Rear "toe eliminator" bushings? I was looking at the Mazdatrix website. That looks pretty time consuming to replace with. - But I may be wrong thats the issue, -the Rear Camber Links appeared to be the item that causes a "clunk" sound. Maybe that is what i am hearing. But that sucks- I could have a bad rear steering bushing, rear camber link, and finally a rear shock/strut....

Just seems pretty much like living were there were severe speed bumps probably are the reason looking back! I have since moved, but problem arised during around that time for the clunk! And I did NOT drive over them fast subjectively... After a while I noticed the rear shock leaking- which may had been for a while then.

its not hard to pull the crossmember and rear everthing out, but to pull the bushings out i have never done it yet,but in about an 1.5 hours i dropped the rear ,pulled the diff(the whole case),i broke a half shaft inside the diff and also broke the front mount on the diff case, and put all of it back together on a jack and with hand tools

the rear end of my car hops to the right when I go over bumps, my suspension is totally blown so I suspect since we are having the same problems it's suspension related.
I'm going to order some AGX shocks soon.
