Exclamation rear brake piston wont turn

while on a mazda drive yesterday my brake pads wore out so badly that the pad fell out and got stuck between the rotor and the caliper. i went and got some brake pads and just got finished changing the driverside rear. now im on the passanger rear, the one that the brake pad got stock in. I cannot get the piston to turn in for ****, the driver side was no problem with needlenose pliers and turn in easy. nomatter how hard i try to turn the passanger side piston it wont move counter or clockwise. the pads were completely gone so what im affraid of is that the piston came out so far its not lined up right to go back in, i dont know if its actually threaded in there but does anyone know how far out the piston will go without be messed up and not go back in?

Mine were really hard to turn I bought a caliper commpressor tool thingy its like 10 bucs or something it looks like a cube you can put a ratchet on it and it has little dimples to match up to the groves perfetcly, the auto parts store guys know what it is, it made it alot easyer, maybe try that befor going and buying new calipers...

im getting it to turn little by little now, i got a pair of channel locks on it with a clamp on them to keep them tight while i put a pipe on the handles of them. huge pain in the *** but i should have it all the way in in about a half hour or so.
is there anything i could do to get it to turn easier? like disconnecting the brake line then bleeding it when im done. dont know exactly how to release the pressure other than that

I used a pair of Channel locks (not on the rubber boot) to break mine loose. Once they started turning then they became loose enought ot turn with the Needle nose. Just getting them to start took a littel persuasion(sp)

If both sides are stuck would it be a good idea to get new ones?
