Unhappy rear bearing removal

i pulled off my rear hub and all i got left is to remove my rear bearings. i rented a puller but it wont fit. Can anyone give a tip i'm stuck.

I just used a bench vise and assorted sockets/pipe. Getting the giant snap ring out was the hardest part. None of my snap ring pliers were up to the job so i ground down some old needle nose.

welder is your friend....seriously, **** a press, **** drilling and grinding..use a welder

weld inside on the steel race only

He's asking about the rear hub, not the front.

For the rear, the best way to do it is with a press. I just went out and bought a cheap H-F press for just this kind of thing. It's been invaluable.

ah crap my bad i totally misread that! +1 on the press for the rear...takes maybe an hour for both wheels tops

thanks guys for the info i took it to a machine shop and the pulled them out for 20 bucks.
Now getting them powder coated black and installing new toe eliminators.

Make sure they don't get any powdercoat on the inside of the carrier!

What sucks is that if you need to replace a broken stud or add longer ones you have to replace the wheel bearings @ $80 a pop....*** mazda.
