really smooooooth clutch-> =(
i got a brand new centerforce clutch and p.plate and bearing but the clutch pedal is really smooth
the clutch got no "holding" problem but theres not feeling in the pedal
could it be cause by a worn out slave cylinder????
thanks alot guys

Is the clutch just really easy to push in? Personally I like my clutch to feel really smooth. I have a DF certerforce that is really easy to push in and is quite smooth only if it would hold the power. Try to give a little more detail.
well i got no feeling in the pedal when the clutch start to grip
i just know it because the car start to move
its really smooth i can push with my finger easily
i just hate that feeling
maybe its just because ive been driving me truck for too long

i think its normal. my car has a VERY light clutch, it doesnt take any effort to push in. and theres no point in the clutch travel where i can tell that its grabbing.
its like only 5 lb of pedal pressure, its nothing. i drove an SVT cobra, and thats like doing an 80 lb leg press w/ just one foot. i think i know what you are expecting it to me, and i dont think our cars are supposed to be very strong o rhard to push.

Hey guys thought I asked being that we are talking about clutchs, I exchanged my clutch about 6 mths ago for stock clutch set with heavy duty bearing; But now at high rpms the pedal stays stuck to the ground! That's scary specially if your trying to impress
....WTF could be happening any suggestions?
Thanks.....

Hey Scott 89t2, I think the slave/master cylinder is shot last night coming from work at a light I got in fisrt gear and took off and redlined in 2nd when something poped and all the sudden couldn't shift to 3rd nor 4th...WTF? Then when I finally parked car the clutch pedal will go dwn all the way but would not engage...hard as f*&k to put into gears; Finally towed it back home!!! What could of happened? thanks for any info....
Check for signs of leakage on the carpet under the pedal. Your clutch master cylinder is probably shot. It's cheap and easy to fix. Even NAPA has the unit. A swivel for your 12mm socket makes it easier.
i decided to rebuild the slave cylinder since i noticed some oil on the dust boot
and you know what??
muuuuuuccccccchhhhh better!!!! =)
theres a seal around the piston pushing the rod that push the fork and it was really bad
our cars arent brand new so its kinda normal to have worned out parts =)
