Really odd problem with my N/A FC

Well when i first got my 87 RX-7 N/A the guy that I bought it from told me that when the engine warms up it sometimes start running rough. But I still bought it what it did when it warmed up was like if it wanted to turn off and when put in gear and wanted to take off it would take off really slow because even with the gas pedal all the way down it would still not go like normal but really slow I would just let it sit for acouple seconds and the engine will go back to normal. I did the tune up spark plugs, cables, oil, oil filter, and air filter and I also bought a fuel injector cleaner and it did not do that anymore the car was now perfect. But just yesterday about a month of driving the car daily with no problems it started doing that again but only when it warms up and sometime if turns off or if I turn it off it has a hard time starting until it cools down for about five minutes and then it is good to go again. I checked the oil and it is full, I was wondering if it is because my straight pipe exhaust is ripped by the cat converter or if i need to change the fuel filter. Well I really have no idea why it does this someone please help me why does it do this? I was told it might be leaky injectors but if that was the case wouldnt the car not stop doing all that shaking and shuttering and mine goes away after awhile but sometimes comes back. Ohh and this only happens sometimes, not all the time but now it has been doing it for the past 2 weeks and i cant really drive it like that... Thanks in Advance...

this does sound odd, I don't have any idea but try changing your tranny oil and change your rear differential oil. Then change your fuel filter and get back to us.

thats odd same thing with mine

when i start mine sometimes when the engine is cold, it sounds like only one rotor is spinning and what i do when it does that is rev it slowly past 3000 rpms and it will kick back in to normal.... i dont know if it is bad or good, my guess is wear and tear on engine or something

What on earth would changing the transmission and differential oils do for an engine-related problem???? Might as well check the air pressure in the tires.

I'm sorry, what? Speaking English with real sentences and punctuation helps a lot.

From what I can decipher, the car sometimes has no power? The first thing to check is the TPS. It is either WAY out of adjustment or has a dead spot (or is just plain unplugged).

I would say to check the ground wire to the upper intake manifold. My '88 SE would stumble & run terrible... felt like one rotor was working or something... I jerked on the wire a couple of times & it runs normal now.
