Real CAI + 3" turboback - FCD + AVC-R

Hi guys!

Following question!

I drive an S4 1987...

i will smash a CAI on it, and also a full 3" custom exhaust from turbo 2 back without cats...

i know i'm going to hit Fuelcut!

So, i wanna buy a Boostcontroller, the Apexi AVC-R...

can i set with the AVC-R a boostlevel 0.5psi UNDER fuelcut and drive the car without any problems? will i have boostspikes which will force me into fuelcut? how much power @ flywheel and wheels i will get out of this setup?

also, when i have a FCD defenser later + SAFC II + portet wastegate, which amount of boost can i drive with the stock TMIC + stock injectors?

later then, when i got my warlboro pump + rtek1.7 + 720 secondarys, what's the maximum boost i should drive?

why would it hit fuelcut with an Apexi AVC-R set 2 a fixed amount of boost underneath the fuelcut?

high spikes?

with just a boost controller your still going to hit fuel cut because of the unported wastegate. you might as well just get all the mods at once. I didn't and got a little heavy on the foot and needless to say I walk to work now.

I'd atleast get and rtek, why are you in such a rush to pop your motor? Running the stock turbo, I would never push it anything past 12psi cause the risk outdoes the gain without question.

ok, so i have to port my wastegate... and i so have to pull my turbo... and so i'm waiting for my project engine before doing the full 3" exhaust

@ gerbradly

why i have to get an rtek if i have my boostlevels under fuelcut with AVC-R + SAFC II ?
later on, when i turn my boost up with the new engine, i definitly will go rtek + secondarys! and some times later FMIC + passive CO² cooling...

your wastegate determines what your lowest boost setting will be. If you push 12 psi without a boost controller...then that's the lowest you can run WITH a boost controller...the controller is only to turn the boost up. So port the wastegate. Then you could try to push up the boost a bit. If you can afford an avc-r...you should be able to afford an FCD. I'd buy the fcd before the avc-r. You'll won't need to turn the boost up until you get some more fuel mods.

with 3" and cai you'll be hitting 12psi for sure without your WG ported. I ported my wastegate as big as the stock door would allow, I have 2.5" turboback straight pipe, and 3" intake and I hit 9-10psi daily. You *WILL* see some nasty boost spikes which could be detrimental to your engine.
