read swap info just want a few questions cleared up

just read rotary resurrections write up on s5 tii into s4 body. I want to swap a s5 tii and use most of the s5 gear as have an 87.5 s4 I believe as it came with everything bar the engine and most of the ancillaries so no injector resistor pack means I can run the s5 injectors on my s4 loom if I use the s5 injector plugs? would need to rewire to suit the alternator? block off omp and premix? buy a s4 tb with tps? why do they say you can't use s5 water pump? would I just need the matching radiator? and obviously retain my ecu and afm. reason I'm so keen on the s5 over s4 is they are far more commonly imported as running engines. can get one including a gearbox (which I could sell as I don't need it) for 1850 nzd which is cheap here for a running 100psi even tested engine. cheers for anyone who helps in clearing up my queries.

you can use the 87.5's harness and run the s5 injectors,use the s5 injector connectors.BUT you need the S4 TII ecu(N333,Or N332) and the N318 boost sensor and N318 AFM.
No issues with alternator wiring,if you use an s4 alternator.(see the S4 to s5 alt swap if you want more amps).
S5 water pump?..dunno,But I like the S4 as it has a aluminum neck.The S5 has plastic.but that can be fixed up: Rotary13B1.com: Your Online Source for Rotary Engine Parts & Accessories! has filler neck in aluminum,the cheapest I have seen so far.
Block off the OMP and run premix( 1 oz of 2 stroke to one gallon of gas).
and you will need the S5 transmission crossmember to install the transmission.The S4 won't go on an s5 trans.

Series five TPS have a "narrow" range and a "full" range pot in them. Seems you could just wire your series four EM harness to just pick off the "narrow" range part of the series five TPS. And forget the full range part of the series five TPS.

So no need to buy a series four throttle body, assuming I didn't miss something here.

Unless you are going aftermarket parts all over, you will end up with like 160-170bhp without the proper ECU, AFM, MAP and using the S5 duty solenoid. I can't see the reason why you'd wanna do that unless you are swapping to standalone and all that pretty soon.

why do you figure it would be so down on power? but anyhoo I'm running a front mount and full exhaust(3inch down pipe,decat pipe, to 2.5 y pipe and large n1 style tips) and yea will be going stand alone as soon as poss.

If you use the s5 TB cut the TPS connector off and throw on a S4 Tps Connector on the TPS that rides on the cam of the Throttle body.(other tps is not used)
That way you are not messing with the engine harness.
Water temp connector may be different.
Use the S5 Turbo and manifold,Take that duty solenoid out,and run a manual boost controller.

awesome bidding on one now. hopefully know by thursdays if I get it. could have my car running in a month or so. damn exciting. then I'll keep saving for fuel, ecu etc for my bridged motor. needed a second motor for the ancillaries but thought why not get it going as it's not much more expensive to buy a running over needs rebuild motor
