Actually, Rob's 6-port sleeves would still work fine with wired open ports. You would still have a loss of low-end power, but all I'm saying is, wire open Pineapple sleeves would be better than wired open stock sleeves. Blake is correct however in saying that ideally you would want to fix your actuation problem and get the best of both worlds.

should my ports work with stock exhaust but no maine catalytic convertor??, also i removed the pipe running from the cat to th top of manifold area and plugged both holes(this is where the pipe from the cat lead to an area near exhaust manifold i removed that hole pipe and plugged 2-holes) will my ports still open in this setup? and should those holes be plugged or left open as long as the air pump is still on the car??

Re: Re: Re: read me
Well thats gonna depend on the year of your RX-7. If its an 86-88, then your 6-ports open from backpressure in your. Without a CAT converter you probably won't have enough backpressure to open your 6-ports, or they won't open at the right time possibly. If you have an 89-91, then the 6-ports are opened from air pressure via the airpump. You can do anything you want to your exhaust system, and on an 89-91 it won't affect your 6-ports at all. The pipe you are referring to that goes the the CAT is the SAP(Split air pipe). It takes air from the airpump, and then goes to the ACV, where its sent to the SAP to supply fresh air to your CAT to help keep emissions down.

Well you'll need to block off the thingy coming out of the CAT, I didn't have to worry about that, cause I put on a racepipe. As for the hose the that's by the manifold, I've been running with it not plugged for over a year now.
