re-wiring greddy turbo timer help (pics)
IM SAYING THIS FIRST... THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO DISCUSS THE USEFULNESS OF A TURBO TIMER ON OUR TYPES OF TURBOS ... LEAVE THAT TALK FOR ANOTHER THREAD ... PLEASE....
basically i got this TT for free and im going to install it. i bought the harness for it for my car, however when i looked at it i noticed that someone had already hacked the wiring to fit thier specific application ....
so im going to need to cut the connectors off and hardwire the harness to the greddy TT ...
can you guys tell me specifically which wires need to be cut/combined etc etc to allow this to work?
heres the pics (sorry about the hugeness you 56k'ers but i figured it would be easier to see the correct wires and what not)

the harness is on the left in the last picture ... i assume the white plug was meant to go to the turbo timer plug, but that has obviously been cut and a different type of plug used (on the TT side)
i assume i would attach the red and green ones together
and maybe the white wire coming from the TT would be attached to the yellow/black one
but i was just looking for some confirmation

if i cut the white plug off of the TT harnes, and the other two plugs off the actual turbo timer and solder the green to the green and the red to the red that only leaves me with two more wires to connect
the white wire and the yellow/black wire .. i can only assume they would be connected .. if thats the case where would the ebrake wire go ... the two small wires coming off the whiteplug on the harness are the ebrake wire and the speed sensor wire i assume ..
if i have to cut that plug off though, where would i attach the ebrake cable?

I'm pretty sure greddy has the turbo timer manual on their site, which has wiring diagrams and stuff in it.
that being said, I'm also very interested in knowing where exactly you hook the e-brake wire, since I'm in the middle of a turbo timer install myself
edit: turbo timer manual!

well the problem is from the manual i really cant tell which wires i need to cut on the harness that i bought (so i can just plug it inbetween my ignition harness with no cutting)
..
surely i can cut the TT harness that i bought and splice it directly to the wires coming from the back of the turbotimer ..
so that in the long run .. i still have the greddy turbo timer attached in a round about way to the harness that i bought ... so i can just plug it in ... im really not too keen on cutting any ignition wires ... especially in such a cramped area....
surely someone can tell me which wires to connect and what not ... also im pretty sure i need the ebrake wire ... i have read that people cannot get thier TT's to work with out that wires attached to the red wire that runs under the center armrest/console ...

okay i emailed the peeps at greddy and they said that red is the constant 12v, green is the ignition switch and black is the ground ... blue being the accessory
dont have a blue but i have a white
ANYWAY
i think i have it sorted out, but do you guys think the harness (on the left in the last pic above) that has the black/yellow wire is the ground?
i assume that i would just connect the green and red wires from the TT to the harness so that i can plug it in ... but that still leaves the ground ...
is black/yellow a normal color for a ground wire?
and i guess i dont have an ebrake wire ... unless thats the white one ...
this sucks .. lol

Anybody got a pic of their Greddy TT harnes under the dash? whitch plug goes where? there are two plugs that match up to the ones from the harness. the plugs on the car have...
key\ Blue |plug| Blue
side/ Black w/ White stripe |plug| Black w/ Red stripe
key\ White w/ Red stripe |plug| Black
side/ Black w/ Yellow stripe |plug| Black w/ White stripe
and the Greddy harness has Red and Green wires spliced from one plug and one single Black w/ Yellow stripe on the other...
note sure what wires go to what?? any help??
thank you,
TR
