RE Amemiya ECU's

I was just looking over RE Amemiya's website http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp and found that they have some upgraded ECU's. I didn't know anyone made ECU upgrades and I was wondering if anyone has bought from them? They sure do make some sweet stuff for our FC's.

Theres one up on ebay I saw. I have one also for my t2, I used it, but never got to fully test it out. It did make the car run a little differently in the low end, but I never got to beat on my car with it in there. I'll let you know in a few months lol.

I used to have one.. It made my car run like **** down low, it stumbled a lot and the idle was not good at all. So I never pushed my car with it.

There's remapped ECUs all over the place. Lots of companies do it.

Border, RE-A, etc.

Not worth it if your car is N/A.

I run the B-type RE-A ECU. It is fine, but it did run lean all over with stock injectors. I think it was tuned for higher flowing injectors.

Im currently running 550p/750s and had to pull fuel out when the secondaries are fireing but had to add a bunch of fuel below 4000rpms. From what i had to add back in it looked like the car it came from was running 600s all around.

Great ECU otherwise but dont expect it to run your ACV.

I was not planning on using one for my car, but I was just wondering how and if anyone had bought stuff from them. Those brake kits look amazing.

ALL tuned ECU's, regardless of the maker or the car it goes in are vehicle specific. They are tuned with a very specific setup in mind, and they can only be put in another car if it has the exact same setup. This makes it rather difficult to get one from ebay, etc, since you generally have to take your car in to get the ECU properly tuned.
Generally they are not worth it since you can get an rtek or megasquirt for a similar or cheaper price and have a fully tunable ECU.

I run an aftermarket "Knightsport" ECU in my FC3S, but like the previous said if you don't have the same setup its not worth it. And its kinda hard to bring your car to these guy's shops in Japan!

I have one also. It's tuned for stock turbo, stock injectors, no fuel cut, no boost cut, redline at 8k rpm, and 1 bar. Car runs AWESOME!

I could see that being a good ECU to buy, since its basically for the stock setup.
