Yes, you will need extension tubes to mate the system to another OEM style muffler.

(At least for the new RB system listed on the site, they sell the extention tubes there too)

you would not be using a pre-silencer or Y-pipe if you are doing true duals.

True duals do not have any spot for collection from the exhaust port back.

Now if you are doing the standard dual muffler, then you are using a y-pipe and pre-silencer

^ Absolutly incorrect. Go to their site, www.racingbeat.com and look up the road race exaust system. It uses both a true dual presilencer and a Y pipe.

No you don't, just go to an exhaust shop and have them weld up whatever mufflers you want onto the exhaust system components bought from racing beat, they can add extensions, bends, or whatever else you need.

They seem to have changed their method from the old. It used to be you used two presilencers. Now it seems they use one pre silencer with two tubes going thru it and use a Y Pipe, but the Y Pipe they use now is two seperate exaust pipes. The front and rear exausts ports look seperate from each other.

That more or less explains Icemarks remarks. Old vs new Y-Pipe.

You did not say that you are looking at the Road Race system. The Road Race system is an entirlly different system than one with a Y pipe, and pre-silencer.

Make your terms clear and people will not be confused.

i figured my saying that it was the true dual made it clear, but aparently not ... the RB road race exhaust sorry :/ it looks like a damn nice exhaust, but you get to the mufflers and wow that is just unreasonably high, no matter how good they might be, im not gonna pay 440$ for 2 mufflers, or 170$ just to use after market... just looking for a way to use the dual set up to cheaper after market mufflers, without paying 34534634 dollars for it

The mufflers are 200% worth it.

have you tried buying them Used?

If you get used OEM or collected-N/a RB mufflers they will fit onto the extension tubes without problems.

RB basically has three mufflers:

Collected N/a&Turbo(catback mufflers)
Full Turbo exhaust
Roadrace(similar to the TII exhaust ones but smaller pipes)

Your post didnt disagree with mine, why did you say "No you don't?"

He needs extentions, you can either fab them or buy them from racing beat: http://racingbeat.com/resultset.asp?PartNumber=16412
