Has anyonen had a turbo and non-turbo presilencer sitting side-by-side for a comparison??
Is the non-turbo presilencer longer? If so, how much?
Are the non-turbo pre-silencer's mounting studs closer together than the turbo's??
I went to the source first. Racing Beat's phone tech had no exact dimensions, and did not want to get them for me, either...
Reason I ask:
I have a RB street header, turbo presilencer and a corksport cat-back (awesome fit and finish, BTW) for my '90 N/A.
My turbo presilencer will not bolt up to my RB header's flange. The presilencer's mounting studs are wider than the header's flange. However, both sides of the turbo presilencer bolt right up to the cat-back's flange...
Not to mention, I find that the turbo presilencer is several inches too short to fit exactly between the cat-back and header.
So either the n/a presilencer's dimensions are much different than the turbo's, or I possibly got a GLS-SE header or something.....

Rico - I **JUST** got off the phone with RB before posting this thread - they had no answers for me.
I thought that was stranger than the fact that my parts aren't matching up properly....

Yeah. I emailed them to ask and see if it would fit before I bought it, and it fit perfectly. Take a pic of the header and presilencer if ya have a digital camera, and mabye I can tell ya if there was a problem.

I was thinking a small extension pipe could be fabricated to mate the "too small" header flange to the RB presilencer.
Probably wouldn't be a big deal, but the more I think about it and research the matter, I'm thinking I actually was lied to about my header coming from a 2nd gen (bought it used). Seems like it is actually for a 1st gen 13b.
I'll probably end up just buying a *legitimate* RB '86 - '92 street header, and sell mine.
I'll take pics this weekend to show the header's dimensions and see if anyone will be able to verify for me what car/motor it is actually for.
