RB header question....

I went to Racing Beat's website to check out their performance products, and one thing confused me...Why do they not recommend the header if you keep the car fuel injected? I would think it would make more sense to go ahead and add an intake system, then RB's header and then get their exhaust system bolted up (this is what I want to do to my car) I think it makes more sense money wise to do that, than also add a carb on top of it...almost seems like "reverse engineering" to add one. Any thoughts on this?

After talking to a few well known rotary ppl, with the stock intake manifold and what not, the street header doesn't give a lot more power than a down pipe. This is basically because the streetable header is a pretty crappy design.
But don't feel discouraged, if you put the header w/ a complete exhaust and a CAI it will give the car some more horse power.

Maybe i should go with their road race header then, due to its bigger size, and then add their presilencer and cat replacement pipe, and then put their exhaust system on that....I wonder though if I can pass NY state inspection/emissions testing with that? Thanks for your help though man!

i don't think you'll be passing any emissions without the cats in there (i really doubt you'll pass the sniffer and no way the visual).

Damn, well I guess I'll go with the Bonez high flow cat and pipe, that'll work.
