oil leaking problem...please help

I have an oil leaking problem that just started to occur in my 1990 N/A Convertible. it started after they did an oil and oilfilter change. the filter head appears clean and dry, but there is a puddle of oil on the garage floor and its everywhere below the filter head...a bit below. is there a safe way to clean the oil out of there? degreaser? i dont want to damage any wiring or hoses, but i want to repair the oil leak as soon as possible...i am loosing a lot of oil. Also how do i repair the leaks?

thanks for the help...

Fred

If its below the filter head, its possible it wasn't tightened all the way down or most likely it was because the previous seal/gasket from the old filter got stuck and they just put a new filter over it.

Finally, change your own oil. Its easy! And then check oil level and pressure after that to see if its normal.

Castrol Super Clean. Just make sure to get it all off the block afterwards. Check the filter to make sure it's tight. If that doesn't do it, the most likely cause are the two o-rings under the filter mount. They dry out and crack. Easy to replace, and cheap.
