RB Fuel Cut Defender and manual boost controller
Anything else I'd have to upgrade right off the bat, or could I install these two things basically plug and play?

WARNING!
Be aware that pushing up the boost can quickly exceed the limits of the stock fuel delivery.
When that happens under power, you run lean and detonate the engine.
The apex seals will not tolerate detonation.
You will absolutely need a mechanical boost gauge. The stock turbo can push up to 15PSI under some conditions and the dash gauge may not show it.
Anything over 9PSI without extra fuel and/or spark retard is very risky.
BTDT:
This is my cracked apex seal after hitting 10PSI with an FCD & MBC on the stock fuel & timing.
