headers --> magnaflow straight through muffler

tha'ts exactly what I got. i know what you mean about the F1 sound at higher RPM you'll get a better and meaner sound if you also have the pre-silencer.

where do you shop?

last time i looked a racing beat header cost around 180 depending on the motor.....

plus like has already been said the stock header is extremely heavy i know i have one sitting in my garage...

also as far as i know and as can be found in the post:

mazdatrix:do they lie

exhaust makes some seriou pwer for nas and back pressure is silly talk for a rotary....

open exhaust ports+spinning rotor= no like back pressure

if you want power+wieght savings go with the header

also imo i love the weedwacker sound its how you can tell its a rotary before you can even see it...louder the better

Not wanting to sound like a jackass Dale, but could you post some dyno's or something with header vs downpipe.

My experience is RB header + RB presilencers + RB y-pipe + RB mufflers = sweet sound and nice performance.

Yeah I know their like super cheap for a header but that means I need the pre-silencer as well wich is like totally not super cheap together being 400 bucks or more with shipping. I should be able to get a used pair for half that. If someone selz me thiers I will definatly get a dyno readout the same day I put it on. I will also give the difference in A/F% A/F ratio and power /torque.

the header is much smoother and less restrictive than the stock manifold, plus the scavenging effect adds hp. I love my header.

Hey y'all i got the true dual rachingbeat/mazdatrix setup for my 87 n/a. I liked it. Still do. can't wait till i throw my new motor in after i get my tax refun in a few weeks. then i can give kevin at rotary ressereuction a little buisness. note my good spelling. holy ****.

anyway i puut this setup on a blown engine and tested it that way ---don't ask me why i'm a ******* retard-- but only being able to hit about 70 with the stock exhaust and being able to hit 95 the next day was pretty impressive to me. that's just one lttle thing i noticed. allthough it did run me 1400 bucks :-/

Peace out y'all

The duals from Mazdatrix. Bring your wallet. Been there, done that. Great sound but I wish I'd used the money to buy a turbo engine/transmission (done that too) instead. The turbo supplied the power I was looking for in the non-turbo (still have the 86 non-tubo though, like it).

I say Bonez Superflo downpipe. It's deep sounding without any rasp.

I think Racing beats site even says the header is recommended it going with a carb setup. If you are daily driver then go with the DP.
