I have their full system except the headers. It is very nicely toned. at idle and cruise it is nice and mellow. At WOT it sounds bitchin!!. Not sure what the Bomz mufflers sound like. Those are what may make it loud

I hade a full racing beat setup (downpipe, not headers) on my 89 GTU.... it was nice during normal driving and nice and loud at WOT..... the stock manifold knocks a little of the sound down, but those BOMZ mufflers may make it insanely loud...

I have a RB setup now on my TII and its an order of magnitude quieter than the N/A ever was even at 15PSI because the Turbo knocks the sound levels down.

If you're going to get the downpipe, get the presilencer as well. It makes a huge difference in the sound, and offers no restriction. I have a stock manifold, RB downpipe and presilencer with a Dynomax Y pipe and mufflers. Sounds fantastic!

I think the presilencer makes the biggest difference, that and the mufflers of course.

if your looking for a cheap setup.. that in my opinion works (since i use it everyday.. and have been for months)
get the rb downpipe.
get a welder to weld flanges to a 2.5 inch glass pack.. the longest oone your can find.
reverse the flow through the glasspack though (should be running over the ripples, as apposed to into the ripples)
bolt it up.
sounds great with my corksport catback... nice power gains also

PLEASE Don't put glasspacks on your car, you'll regret it about 20 miles down the road when you catch the underside of your car on fire from the exaust melting/getting EXTREMELY hot.

I have a bonez pre-silencer... with MAGNAFLOW mufflers. I've heard a car with JUST magnaflow mufflers.. no presilencer. Sounds like absolute ****!!!!! However, mine is VERY low pitched, keeps the low pitch tone all the way to 8.5K, and is not raspy at all! I also however have the stock manifold and a bonez high flow cat. The pre-silencer makes a world of a difference, and as posted, little to no restriction.

hahah, it wont actually catch on fire... fiberglass does not burn. But i will melt. RX-7's have an exhaust temperature much hotter than that of the conventional piston engine. It may sound fine at first, but the sound will change when the fiberglass melts and dries over and over.
