raw fuel comming out vac line, wtf?

s5 non turbo. on the back of my upper intake manifold are 2 vac lines, one had popped off the metal pipe and I noticed a slight bit of gas in the line. I took a pic with my cell phone, im gonna try to upload it in a sec. any ideas how this could happen?

heres a pic from my regular camera. it appears that the metal lines go to the solenoid rack in front of the manifold.

nah they are too small to be fuel lines. besides i can see where the fuel lines go. I circled the line in the pics, hopefully that helps.

my guess is you have the fuel lines screwed up on the rats nest. check the steel lines at the rats nest on the engine for:

front lower line- fuel inlet, line that comes off the fuel filter
rear lower line- fuel return line, goes to the firewall and down
middle upper line- crankcase vent line, goes to the firewall then up and over to the charcoal canister

if nothing has changed in the configuration lately are you sure it is gas in the line and not just water condensation?

Those little copper/brass lines are for the PCV valve. Sure it is gas and not oil???

There is nothing fuel related that is even close to where those lines hook up.

It's either PCV (i.e. purge valve) or charcoal canister (fuel vapors).

Didn't look like the thick lines for the Charcoal canistor... but that would explain the gas... maybe I need to look closer at the pictures again

If its the line for the FPR (though it doesnt look like it) and the FPR has faild it could be fuel. If the diaphram (sp?) in the FPR has fallen apart he could be getting fuel into that vac line.

hahah, I didn't even look at the pic.
I was just guessing.
It's just the two possible things I could think of right now.

I think if the internal diaphram failed on the FPR, it would leak at the FPR seams too.
