Rats Nest Removal with pics

So ive been doing some repairs and cleaning on my 87 TII and I figured since I had the intakes off id go ahead and do the emissions and rats nest removal. Ive been doing some research on this for awhile and ive found that although there are some very well written articles on this...and some with drawings or pictures...that im still not quit clear on everything involved yet. I searched and couldnt find a thread containing pictures here, so I thought id post some up. I used the Rotary Resurrection site for most of my info. Very informative. I assume there are others that might be a little confused on some of the steps involved and this might help them out. The pictures I posted of the things I wasnt sure what to do with can easily be edited by anyone who knows where that certain hose goes or what nipple to cap and then reposted in this thread. If this is good enough maybe it can be made a sticky for future use. Anyway, here ya go. In the third pic...im not sure what each of those solenoids are, what they do or if they should be removed. So anyone who does know then give some input. The others are pretty self explanatory.

Im posting the link to the RR site so you have his directions.

Ok, heres another set.

In the third pic...I dont know what that diaphragm is. Its on the drivers side behind the oil filler. Does all three nipples in the second pic get capped?
1st pic shows where you should source vacuum for your Fuel Pressure Regulator.
In the last pic...should all three nipples on the back of the TB be capped? BTW, if your capping the sub zero start in pic 1 then go ahead and trash the plastic reservoir for it too.

I havent mentioned the TB mod here as Im leaving mine stock for now and the above link has some great pictures of that process. Also, I havent mentioned running new fuel lines as the same site has a great article on that as well.

I havent got around to removing the metal (actual rats nest) lines yet. I read that I will have to make a braket to support the IC since I still have the top mount. Anyone have pics of that...then post em up.

This info, and answers to some of your other questions, is easily found in the Factory Service Manual. If you don't have the FSM, click here and download it in PDF format for free. You should always look in there before asking "What's this" type questions.

In the second pic in your first post you've said to cap the primary injector air bleed. There's no good reason to do this. The air provided helps atomise the fuel, which improves combustion efficiency. You've also incorrectly labeled the oil nozzles as "secondary", but they're actually in the primary ports.

In the third pic...I dont know what that diaphragm is.
Purge control valve. See the section on evaporative emissions in the FSM Fuel System chapter.

Does all three nipples in the second pic get capped?
Yes, unless you want to keep the twin-scroll system fuctioning to reduce turbo lag. In you do, connect as shown here:

In the last pic...should all three nipples on the back of the TB be capped?
Depends if you're keeping the stuff they feed. The large one feeds the oil nozzle air bleed, so if you still have the OMP it should be connected to the oil nozzles. The bottom one is for the double-throttle system, so if you want thay to work you need to connect it. The one above the big nipple is for the primary injector air bleed I mentioned above. I'm not sure about the top one, what's it connected to?

Incorrect. The IC support bracket is completely seperate and remians in place. You should be able to see that clearly just by looking at it...

Technically, you don't really need the support bracket for the TMIC on the drivers side anyway. I removed mine long ago. You have to find new locations for a few grounds, but thats it. The two bolts on the UIM for the TMIC are enough.
