Rats nest removal..

Are all those metal air hose lines that went to the 6pi actuators and what not completely useless now that i removed my ACV? The only thing my airpump is hooked up to is my vdi. So would it be safe to remove all of the rats next on the drivers side and passenger side enginebay?

Do you have the rest of your emissions stuff still in place? And do you have to pass emissions laws?

At least on the S4 engines, if you take out the EGR valve & ACV, the rats nest becomes mostly useless. Mine will *not* be returning to my engine bay. :-)

I'm not familiar enough with the S5s though to be able to offer any suggestions except "Find a vacuum diagram & see what else is using it."

Without the air pump or ACV, I rigged an electric pump to come on withe the aux port solinoid & pressurize the Aux port & VDI supply tube.

If you don't need the rest of the spider, a hose with a Tee will do the job.
