My friend has the single catback with RB presilencer/midpipe on an 87 NA. Shoots flames and is crazy loud.

CS single with no presilencers or cats = 9 on loudness scale, with 10 being open header and 1 being stock. It sounds sweet above 4000rpm, but very loud. Below that, it's just obnoxious.

RB with the skinny presilencers are loud as well, but not so bad. Has an odd raspy note. about a 7/10.

RB with the fat muffler-type turbo presilencers sound friggen awesome. I like the sound of my RB turboback so well, that I bought a 3" presilencer from that system solely to weld into the straight exhaust of my FD, since they don't make a system for the FD using the 3" turbo style presilencer, and I already have a 3" straight aftermarket exhaust. Loudness with the 3" turboback is about a 4/10.

the n1 single has a nice sound, but is loud at idle and everywhere. It is pretty deep though. About a 6 or 7/10. Tolerable for the street.

I think the Apexi N1 is the best sounding exhaust I've heard on a n/a fc. The duals or the single both sound great. I have mine w/ a RP race pipe. The N1 has a muffler and is still kinda loud, but very deep and mellow. Shoots a good flame too. I'd rate it a 9.

I have it, I love it.

I'll give it a 9 just because I don't know what a 10 would be.

RB's exhaust is nice, but I'd rather have a 3" single exhaust on a turbo.. I wonder how well their turboback compares to a full 3" single turboback?

rotary 7,

i have the cs catback, first i had just the catback running it with stock cats, it sounds very nice and throaty and distictively rotary, and on the loudness scale it wasnt rediculous at all, very acceptable

then i added the midpipe/presilencer from RB, and like everyone says "it is loud" but i get a lot of compliments. its not like, youll want to wear earplugs loud, but if you dont love the sound of the 13b it will get annoying, i never go anywhere without my music on so it doesnt bother me.

just get used to putting the clutch down when you drive buy cops if you get both.. next up for me is a header which im sure i will regret when the tickets start arriving anymore questions let me know, pm me if you want a sound clip

^^^ so the stock exhaust manifold will bolt right up to the RB presilencer which then bolts directly up to your choice of a catback? or am i missing something?

if you have the cats (turbo or non turbo), the Cork Sport exhaust is perfect and around a 5 or 6.

Without cats and on a Non Turbo, it is closer to a 9

you are missing the midpipe which RB sells as part of a kit, or seperatly for like 90 bucks, it extends from your manifold to the presilencer.

if you need one, ill probably be selling mine in a month or so when i get a header.. or i may save it for part of the downpipe for my next big project if i decide to go through with it

if you get diffrent exhaust parts and try to put them together its usually is a pain in the *** so be prepaired. ive got a full corksport exhaust, no pre scilencer no cat and yes its loud very loud. i put the scilencer in the muffler tip and it helps a little but the thing rattles a little and gets annoying so im gonna put something in place of the mid-pipe to quiet it down. tickets are expensive!!!!
