ok.. so iwas driving to work.. car is running great. was ctuising with traffic at about 40 mph in 4th gear then all of a sudden the car starts sputtering pretty violently.. it gets hard to accelerate and i end up downshifting to keep it moving and pull it in to a parking lot. soon as i get in the parking lot and hit the clutch the car cuts off. i sit there for a moment try to start it.. and it just cranks and cranks.

at first i got scared thinking a apex seal went, but i dont think thats the case. ive had 2 motors with bad seals and even though they had no power, it still ran pretty smooth. and this is a violent sputter.

soooo.. im thinking maybe fuel? injecter went out, pump went out?

any suggestions on anything else to check? im definately goign to do a compression check just to be sure, but i really dont think thats the case.

definetly sounds like something fuel related....
can you hear the pump running when the keys on (or whatever fuel pump switch you have)?
might even be a clogged fuel filter?
what kind of mods have been done?FCD - possibly faulty....???
It might be bad plugs or something as well - what kind of maintenance have you done to the car?

it has new ngk plugs and wires.. only mod is a k&n filter.. havent checked to hear the fuel pump.. right now its stuck in a parking lot till i can get her home
