ok first off problems with the car, the coolant seals are blown. only engine problem, now your part.
i'm going to have to take out a loan to get it fixed and thats the bad news the good news is that i'll have a running car again. i've been estimated at 3k for the rebuild, now would you think that the rebuild shop would also install a catlytic converter and possibly my passenger power window moter?
oh and with the rebuild i want a new radiator would you think that they would allow me to buy the radiator and bring it to them to install?
what type of radiator should i get?
ranting over now

3K? Whoa. Can't you find a used T2 for about that much I know shops charge a lot for fixing things but if you are at all mechanically inclined, or have some friends, I would find a used replacement motor, or even a new one, and drop it in because it would be a whole lot cheaper.
Just an idea.

sadly i dont have the funds to afford a t2, insurance alone on this one for some reason was 305, and that was liability only(Getting It Looked At), and the people here overcharge for the t2's i've seen one in the paper for 3 weeks now wanting 12k, and wont back down from it

I "lost" my emissions....
there a guy on here named kevin landers check out his site rotaryresurrection.com you can dhip it to him he rebuilds it and ships it back and it'd be right at 2k. or theres another guy here named mike that does my engine work for me and hes real good but i dont know if he takes shipped engines he is coolcars44 on this forum. or maybe... isnt atkins rotary on the west coast?
dude ship it out to a reputable shop, they'll charge 2k max and itll be 20x better work
