Raise Hatch Halfway and Radio Volumn Drops
Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone has encountered this problem before I investigate.
As the hatch is raised, at the halfway point the radio sound level drops, move the hatch downward and it's back to the normal volumn, raise it slightly again and it drops, close and it works fine.
Seems as though at halfway point is the problem area???????????
S5 TII Stock audio/equalizer.

Wish it were a trick question, but I'm now sitting here with egg on my face.
Yesterday installed the reconditioned radio, display lights (receiver and equalizer)
were repaired and radio working great. Had the car at idle in a parking lot,
radio on, wife in the car, went to get the GPS out from the hatch area, and as the
hatch was raised she said the radio volume decreased so I moved the hatch
a few times to see how and when the sound changes.
Just went to the back garage and as stated, when the hatch comes up the interior
sound dissipates as the cavity is opened.
Thanks guys……..I'm going to wash my face now!

Lar's First Law of Dutch Ovens states that raising the sheets will for a short time greatly increase the odor, but for a shorter period of time. Whereas leaving the sheet down does largely mute the odor and allow it to "soak in to" the sheets, mattress, nightwear (if worn), and skin but it lingers for a much longer period of time.
