I'm replacing front wheel bearings on '88 t2, first time.
How to remove races is my question? no surface to press
or tap out.

Short answer is Mazda would rather you buy a new hub assembly. But it is possible to remove the bearing races with some modification work - bearings are readily available and not too expensive. Mazdatrix has a good how-to article on the procedure here: https://www.mazdatrix.com/changing-f...ngs-on-86-92s/

Do you have a welder? If so, weld the races and they will shrink, and then typically just fall
out
