Radio wiring question

ok, threw the faq it states this-

What are the wire colors for adding aftermarket radio
LTBlue/Red= 12v+
LtBlue/White= +Accessory
LtBlue/Yellow= -power ant trigger
Red/Black=+ Lumination
White=Factory Amp Turn on

on my 1989 GXL -
with the ohm meter, my ltblu/white is a constant 12v+, and my ltblue/red has nothing, the ltblue/white is also a larger gauge wire.

is it possible that these are reversed for my car? i cannot for the life of me get the aftermarket radio to work. got it to light up every now and again. and the stock one turned on (didnt work speaker wise) and i could tune it and what not...

anyone happen to have this issue aswell?
