It'll be fine. You may have to adjust the fan shroud a tad, but your aftermarket radiator is going cause the need for adjustment more than the new water pump will.

 

Yikes lol, I do want to get a new efan n shroud. I might just have to go get one. Trying to do it right, but its tough since a lot of things ive done on this car is a first time adventure for me haha. Thanks for the heads up.

 

I am not saying you can't use the stock fan shroud, I am just saying you'll probably need to adjust it. It isn't anything scary really.

 

Ok good since its all I have right not for a fan n shroud. My vice was too small so I had to ship the wp back to cali. Sucks cause I am on the east coast. And Idk where this radiator is either lol. Guess good parts take time to get. In the mean time my monte carlo needed love. Put a starter on her and struggled like hell doing it lol. Got some new tie rods ends on they were easy. Shes also getting tires today if the place not to busy. But the wait for my true love continues. I did get the engine mount too(had 1 broken) and all I need is springs if anyone has some hook it up.

 

Well I finally got the w/p back from mazdatrix and would you believe it this one wasnt excatly right either but I made it work. When I put the pulley on it was to close to the housing and was rubbing so I grinded it down some and it worked. So after that I got the water pump on. All but 1 bottom bolt screwed on tight. Its pretty snug but obviously the bolt needs replacing. Figures since I got almost all new hardware for the w/p and intake. Hasnt leaked yet but anyway put the radiator on and had to pull it back out to get the shroud on. Then while putting on the lower rad hose I noticed it twist my hose a bit to fit. Maybe too long or the rad pipe too short. Either way its on for now till I come up with a solution. Other than that everything went pretty smooth till I started it with the fuel hose disconnected lol. Caught it quick wiped everything down and restarted. So the car is running now with no apparent leaks. Just shes running rough I got the idle at 750ish but its been hanging a lil higher at times. Getting to the tps when I get back later this afternoon and Im going to try and set the timing at my dads. After that I guess Ill see where she stands. And what should I do about this 16psi rad cap that came with the radiator, should I switch it to a stock rated one?
