Can't figure it out

So my rx7 has been broken down for about 2 months now. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. the plugs are new and getting spark and I think it is a fuel issue. The car ran fine till we washed it, changed the oil, and fuel filter. The afm went out and it started but revved to 2000 rpm and died. We got a new afm and deflooded the engine then we righted the belt to the air pump. The fuel pump does work and the plugs fire. I tried deflooding it today with the transmission oil method and it still won't start.

Can't figure it out

Did you check and make sure your injectors are firing? Compression? Fuel pressure?

Many things that need to be checked

If it was compression it would of started with the automatic transmission fluid in the engine for when I tried deflooding. How would I check the fuel pressure and if the injectors are firing.

WRONG.
If you threw some ATF in it and it covered the plugs it would still not start.

Do THIS:
Remove spark plugs.Clean them burn them whatever.,.,just ,make sure they are clean or better yet,Replace them( I have always tossed a new set in when in doubt)
..EGI FUSE..Remove it so you get NO fuel, spark.
Turn the key and Roll engine over 30 sec.
Toss about 3 tablespoons of oil(motor oil is FINE) into the spark plug holes.
Kick the engine over again...about 4-5 seconds.
Put Plugs back IN.
put EGI fuse back IN.

NOW,try starting the car.

*I've done this Deflood method MANY Times and IF the car was running before and is just flooded(that means NO other mechanical bullshit to contend with) it WILL start.

OH..if you want to see if you are getting fuel?:the fuel will spray out as a mist out of the plug holes when you roll th engine over with the Plugs OUT..BUT Caution: you should have the plugs AWAY from that plug hole area or BOOM!!.you can get a surprise!..

To test your pump look for a yellow plug located by the passenger side strut tower. Make a jumper to complete a circuit between the two wires in the plug. Then turn the key to the run position and you should be able to hear your fuel pump going.

"car ran fine til we washed it"

..5 days after the post BUT,Did you spray the engine with water?..if so you may be dealing with wet connectors...a hair dryer works wonders..and plus you'll look Killer afterwards..lol!
