Racing Harness Support Location

I was just wondering what a good spot would be to run belts like takatas or something would be in a car that still has all the interior in it. I am going to be getting some brides and just think that it would look sharper to use harness belts instead of the ruglar ones. Thanks for any input.

Look to your harness maker for mounting info.
I know there are pretty specific guidelines for the mounting angle of the shoulder straps and Takata should tell you all about it.
Once you know where they should mount, it's just a question of making something to suit.

Thank you for the information. I just figured that you would almost have to create your own mounts if you had the bins in the back. I know that you can mount them where the back seats belts usually mount, but seeing that i don' have back seats i was unsure. As much as Id like to run takatas the price is a little intense for just an aesthetic purpose.

Hold out and wait. Supposedly, they will be coming down in price. But, it's all hearsay

shoulder straps are to be perpendicular to the shoulder +/- 10 degrees. the nut buster MUST be worn if there is no give in the shoulder harnesses, unless you use something like a schroth asm. the lap belts are per the mfg instructions.

sparo has their data online and its basically the same for all harnesses give or take a smudge.

If anyone has any photos or diagrams of racing harnesses installed in their fc, that would help a lot. Especially if you still have your bins installed.

The best method is to follow the guidance of the manufacturer and/or the rules of the racing class in which you compete.

In absence of that, the SCCA GCR is a good general guidance. See section 9.3.19.

I'm not sure it will help with your situation, but here is my harness setup:

Also I would like to know if anyone recommends a certain type of rail or sliding rails that will accommodate the seat the best. I would prefer sliding rails. Any input is appreciated.
