Recently installed racing beats rear sway bar with their adjustable end links. Getting some popping noise from the both sides at first but now mainly from driver rear when going over a harsh dip / speed bump.

Manual says I may have to let the suspension settle and I did notice its going away the more I drive. How long should I wait before becoming concerned?

I did grease it up wel. What gives? :/

 

I'de say give your new bushing some time

 

Settling takes a week or 1k miles, which ever comes first. I would recheck the torque on the bolts

 

hmm okay i did torque them properly but ill wait a few for it to settle

 

I'd check the bolts at the swaybar ends themselves, sometimes it tightens up real nice but it's "false" once the powdercoat wears away from use.

The OP said his problem is popping noise when he goes over bump, a faulty swaybar links doesn't make a " popping noise " when a link is faulty it affects camber which affects handling during corner.

The popping nose come from sway bar going up/down
As it wants to move,it's being hold by your new bushing
Which new and not familiar with the "twist" of the sway bar.

This apply on ANY vehicle

 

False, if an end link is faulty or not torqued properly it will make a knocking sound until disconnected. Same with the sway bar bushings, it not torqued properly it will cause the sway bar to bind and knock, same with bad sway bar bushings.

has to be the bar, i didnt touch anything else. Ill double check


just an update though, bar definitely feels to be settling in. Less noise now, maybe does it once every 5 speedbumps/dips where it used to do it every time

 

disconnect the bar and drive the car, that way you eliminate one of the variables you believe are faulty

 

Already disconnected bar. Definitely either bar or end links.

Just an update. Still squeeking but not much. Just noticed that If you remove the rear wheel and look inside, there are grooves (arches) Molded where the brake line comes through and for the sway bar. My racing beat sway bar doesn't sit in this groove. Could that be it?
