Acceleration Cable has alot of "play" Gas pedal Loose? anyone?

Question Acceleration Cable has alot of "play" Gas pedal Loose? anyone?

The acceleration cable that Runs through the firewall has tremendous amount of play and my Gas pedal is almost hitting the floor.

any way fixing this?

Ok i fixed it. it wasn't wrapped around the throttle body hindge that curves like a "U"

..good stuff.
I was gonna suggest you just wrap it around the shifter..lol!

The car would go like "Be-Jesus" in second gear but de-accelerate when you put it in 1st! :P

(I knew it had a logical explanation though..heh!..good stuff finding the snafu.)

I'm having a similar issue right now with my S4 vert. I figure there isn't much point in really digging into it right now since the wiring is effed and the dash is out. My cable is connected and routed correctly though. Does anyone know if there is a good or recommended way to lube the cable? I'm sure mine is from setting outside for the last four years.

What happens was I adjusted the throttle cable screw from above counter clockwise and pulled all the extra slack back into the engine area. Now it feels so much better driving
