Racing Beat sway bar install.....
I just ordered some new KYB AGX struts and Racing Beat front and rear sway bars for my 91 convertible.
I was just wondering how big of a PITA the sway bars are to install? I read somewhere...and don't remember where now...about the rear sway bar being a little difficult. If I remember correctly it said something about having to remove the cat-back and the heat shields around the fuel tank??? Is this true?
If anybody has ever installed one of these, or both, post any hints, shortcuts, things to look out for, etc.
I just want to make sure I have whatever parts I need ready when I tear into this....like new gaskets for the cat-back if it needs to come off....before I start on this so my car isn't torn apart for 3 weeks while I wait on some unanticipated parts.
Thanks!

Opinions are like........
I haven't done it on my RX. Doens't seem to be any more difficult than any other car(done numerous). Plan on using the WD40 every night on all nuts/bolts... for a week or so before the R&R. Also, if you are doing this in your driveway/garage(nolift), give the rear undercarriage a good washing. Dirt in the eyes sucks and also doesn't taste good.
The mufflers need to be removed. Most will need finagling to line up(especially at the bracket/bushing mount. The end links are usually not a problem.

YOU CAN REMOVE the cat back although it's not neccesary you can just undo the hangers and move it as needed although i had mine on a tranny jack and the car was on a lift if you can't support the exhaust with a jack just remove it it will be better. you do not need to remove any of the heat shielding for the rear not sure about the fron i have yet to do that one. over all easy if you have done anything to your car and the right tools just make sure you don't try to put it in backwards you will be surprised.
