Thumbs up Racing Beat recommends Synthetic Oil!

I was looking through the new Racing Beat catalog and saw that the recommend using Royal Purple Synthetic Lubricants in our engines! They list SOOO many benefits of using especially ROYAL PURPLE over conventional oils. What's you guys opinion on this?

I've used synthetic oil for about 6 years and have never had any problems. In addition I figure that anything I can do to help the turbo bearings is a plus.

How would it affect my 12A? My engine only has 40K since being ported, and it runs great....should I risk changing something that is working fine already?

I run synth. in the trans and rear diff.

Isn't synth as motor oil bad for the apex seals?

Are you talking about the 1 time treatment that fills in all microscopic poors which reduces friction, which gives 1-5 more HP, which causes smoother/quicker revs, which makes the engine run smoother?

I ran Syntec 5-50 in my NA motor for 175K miles with no problems.

That one time treatment, wasn';t it microlon, or something similar? I read about it in one of thsoe issues of rotary rocket you posted(thanks!), and thought it sounded rather interesting. Anyone know if this stuff is still made?

I run Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5w-50. Rice Racing reccomends it. he knows his ****. In the interest of engine life the best thing to do is run premix, block the OMP and run fully synthetic oil.

I've used AMSOIL 10W-30 in the early years, then switched to 20W-50. I've got 140K on the original engine. AMSOIL has been in synth longer than anyone on the market (and I mean YEARS longer).
