the article I have has a Haltech, mikuni, dellorto, and holley. The haltech is running TWm individual throttle bodies. Haltech did 226, holley 224, though the power comes on much sooner with the haltech.

We are talking about the same article, and the dyno graphs showed the best powerband by using the sidedraft webbers, with peak power of 221hp (or around that area).

Webber's powerband was better than the Holley one, but the holley made more peak power.

And the Hal\Twm TB combo had a powerband in between the holley and the sidedraft webbers, with a better peak power than all of them.

This is all from the top of my head, I'll have to check the mag tonight to confirm

Page 4 shows what I was talking about powerbands and peak HP between all of them.

I definitley think you should switch to a distributor style ignition, it runs with less headaches then trying to deal with it without the EFI on there. You can wire it up so that it is still direct fire on the leading and just get another coil, a first gen or msd to put on the trailing. You can use your factory leading coil and just wire it from the leading ignitor. I have this setup on my 86 motor in my 85 rx7. It kills second gens with the stock ECU and the same bolt ons. I run right with my friends streetport 6-port in his 86, so there is no way you are making less power. Something is definitley wrong. Just might be the carb. But I would stay carb if you are going to run N/A unless you have some experience with an aftermarket system.
