Close to 200 hp?

I have a 88 stage 3 rebuilt engine. Putting on cat replacement (straight pipe) with presilencer and K&N filter. What else do I need to get close to 200 hp. With what I have now, where do I stand. Thanks alot for comments.

Obviously it's an NA, cmon guys. If he had a turbo he would be over 200 easily.
Anyways.
You should port your manifolds. Dont do it if you really dont know what youre doing. Look in the archive, top of the page.

I doubt your going to get to that number but you said "close to" so i'd say get true duals, buy or make a good CAI, smooth out your intake system(manifolds/tb) add a fuel controller, buy pineapple sleeves(have they intalled by PR), get an ignition amp like MSD or Jacobs, get some good wires for it like RB or Jacobs. For now I thinkt thats all I can recall as power mods. Not really much you can do to an N/a. I'd want to say also get a good clutch and pressure plate for it. Oh yeah you can remove your accessories if your really **** about power like me. That might get you one or two ponies but its SOMETHING!! And if all else fails buy a nitrous kit and buy some TII injectors to compensate for the extra air.

What does this mean? have they installed by PR? if you meant have them installed by a pro. what is your reasoning for this?

for all the countless posts asking how to get high HP in an N/A and all the various replies... I think you just said a mouthful. good tips, and in a natural order; first things first, last things = take off accessories and add nitrous
