Racing Beat article on ported 6-port engine

Has anyone scanned this article? I'd like to read it. I can't find the magazine its in at the local book store.

could you explain? do you mean the magazine DRAG which comes in two sizes? regular and rolling stone size? They had a good article on a ported 13b which was carbed making 200 to the flywheel dynoed. They then went fuel injection and made almost the same amount of power. Pretty good detail.

Drag? Well that explains alot. I thought that was a misplaced magazine from the alternative lifestyle section

Love a copy as I was promised a fax of it which never came (can't get the mag over here

As a taster here are the carb HP results which I was emailed.

No muffler: Peak HP
Holley: 227 @ 8400
48 DHLA Dellorto: 220@7900
44 PHH Mikuni: 216 @ 8300

With muffler: Peak HP
Holley: 224 @ 8400
48 DHLA Dellorto: 211@8100
44 PHH Mikuni: 208 @ 7900

I've mislaid the IDA with EFI results, which were not as high as I would have hoped and I think were blamed on too short runners.

Also interesting is the fact that RB do ALL their dyno tuning with zero split on the timing.

Yep the EFI was only a couple of more HP I have that article as well.
