Racing Beat 3" downpipe?
I have the racing beat downpipe and it has slowly worked itself loose. I tried to tighten the nuts and they are a pain to get at.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get to those damn nuts?
Thanks,
Josh

Well. You could TRY going from above in the engine bay, but that seems like it would be a little difficult.
Try using a wrench. I think it shoudl work.
If you can get it up in there, you can make it work. Notice when you look at a wrench head, it is not an even shape. The mouth points to one side and one of the arms reaches out further than the other? Use that to your advantage. Flip the wrench over when you run out of room to turn, and it will grip in a different spot. Then pull it as far as you can go and flip it back around. Kinda basic stuff there, but thats all I can think of. I had no problem getting mine off with a socket wrench though.

thanks for the info. I figured out my problem. The owner before me put a new o2 sensor in and moved it from the old location. Now there is a bolt that fills the old location. And that is welded in and sticks up soooo I have to go from the top and there is no room to turn the rachet. So it will take some time but it should get tight.

Well I just got done with the downpipe.
I had 1 problem, one of the studs that the nuts go onto was kinda stripped so I had to space it out with some washers. Then I used the lock washer and tightend everything down.
I was wondering if those studs are replacible?
Scott- Your bay is ALOT less cluttered than mine. I hope that with time my 7 will look like yours under the hood.
