personally i would get the skyline. Specially R32 GTR, my dream car. rb26 can handle up to 1000 on stock internals, try that with a 7 RB26 also is very easy to upgrade. Theyare also more reliable than our cars by far. ATESSA is also alot better for the snow, specially in canada.

Nicely put.

I would rather have an RX-7, personally. I like how the Skyline looks, but it just doesn't do it for me. Its like the Evo, it looks good but its basically a standard sedan on steroids. I could care less about about turning heads, so thats not a reason I would buy a Skyline. In fact, I like blending in. As far as performance, give me an FC any day. I like fast acceleration, but my car is plenty fast for me. I want handling, and thats something that an RX-7 will beat the skyline at any day of the week, especially with an aftermarket suspention setup. Skylines are just too heavy and bulky. The other thing I don't like is all the "drivers aides" like traction control and 4WD that senses any wheelspin and attempts to eleminate all of it. That takes away half the fun of driving. I like my car exactly like my FC: A bare bones, no-frills sports car with nothing to add weight that isn't neccesary. For the price of even an R32, which is what I would get anyway, I could get my mechanic's pristine FD with a custom built 20b single turbo swap, and then that would totally eleminate any performance advantage the Skyline had.

I think the average person would say a r32 is a lot better looking than a stock fc.

I take it you are looking at skylines because they will be legal to import and register in august?

Personally I would probably take the skyline. The AWD platform gives it a huge bonus considering the winters here suck. Plus they came with what, 280hp? (correct me if Im wrong ). Given its motor, I would imagine you could boost power into the low-mid 300s with little effort.

Overall weight isnt a huge turn off for me. They are pretty porky cars, but so are f-bodies and corvettes. All three of those cars have the power to back up the weight and its not like this is would be a pure race car.

Where are you planning on getting the car? Import concern (nevermind just read the rest of the thread)? They have a nice pretty tempting white GTX listed on their auctions... but their prices are a bit skewed on cheaper cars. 50k yen = 5k canadian? Uhm, no thanks
What the...????? R32 GT-R is at least $30k from Motorex. It costs about $10k to legalize them through Motorex even if you can import one by yourself.
Heh... Import concern has them ranging from 10k canadian to 30k canadian. Imported to vancouver, ready to be registered and even inspected (and delivered to your house) if you want to pay for it. Thats retarded cheap if you are buying from the USA.. but still your laws regarding importing vehicles have an extra 10 years tacked on if Im not mistaken. You probably wouldnt beable to register it with out all the modifications that motorex does.

August... hell no... there will be some here in lethbridge long before that... ha that i can assure you jeff... lol and for under 10k .. Also the R32 is a nice car, but i think the FC is a nicer looking car, lets face it it is a skyline though and they are rare and that just might be what makes them so appealing.

Also why the eff arent you ever on msn anymore? lol

The GT-R all the way
1. Power (I have an NA RX-7)
2. Rarity (USA, everyone mentioned this)
3. BIG POINT : AWD (anywhere anytime is perfect driving)
4. I don't have one (I don't have a TII either but that's another story)

Id rather have my FC then a R32 GTR hands down.

Lightweight, dimensionally smaller FR cars are my style.

"lol, like comparing **** to chocolate....."

But nah, seriously i'd say it all depends on the application of the car.... but I gotta say that Skyline has a bit more of an advantage in my book..... tis just cool as hell (save for it's recent popularity in 2F2F).....

However, speaking on a fully cartoon influenced opinion, we all know what really beats out what when it comes down to it....

I don´t understand the question! The rotary is in the TII
so that would make the choice easy! I wouldn´t change my car for any Skyline... or any other car! I´m in love with her...

The R32 is awsome. AWD. More reliable. Easier to maintain and work on. I mention AWD?? I agree It would be more closely compared to a FD. The FC doesn't have a chance.
