Which R-12 replacement? ES-12, Industrial 12A, Duracool, Freeze 12?

I know some 'guys' who have 30# drums, but they don't have english on the label, so you would not be able to use it legally.
I'm glad you have the One FC that works well with 134a. It may be that you have everything in perfect order, a rarity.
I always love it when northern dwellers try to lay claim to hot weather and/or high humidity. Typical statements include claims of 100% humidity during the day. This cannot happen. I don't care what you think you heard on the local weather channel.

So besides knowing everything about automotive a/c, you're a meteorologist too. I don't know what I would do without your infinite amount of knowledge. It's like I shouldn't have gotten my ASE certification in heating and a/c and just come here and asked you. Do you have a course I could take to learn from the all knowing? BTW when I retrofit a system it isn't a cheap easy fix. I don't do a jiffy lube and just put some fittings on and fill it up with 134a. There are some people on this forum, besides you, who actually have some knowledge. Maybe I don't have your extensive meteorological knowledge, but you don't have to be an ******* about it. You people "down south" were supposed to be hospitable. Maybe it's the sun-like temps only you have to deal with.

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. I can be a little overbearing at times. I sincerely apologize.
I would like to know what you do when you convert an FC to 134a so that you get good results.

System seems to have stopped cooling again. But at least now I'm pretty sure what's causing it... just need to know where I can get one of those stupid one-piece hoses the dealer-installed systems came with. That, and I should pray my compressor is still good.
I have my original Sanden but it uses different hoses than the other one (two-piece, two-bolt type) and it's been sitting out for several years now, and I don't think it's any good.

I took my hose off (there wasn't much coolant left... definitely leaked out under pressure, but system held vacuum), went to a BIG local auto parts store and had them put a new crimp on the hose. Only cost $7 (2 parts 5 labor).
When I took the hose off, I noticed that one of the fittings was loose... I had been having that problem many times on the other fitting but had no idea this one got loose too, probably from running 134A. I've got threadlocker on both fittings now, so hopefully I won't get any leaks unless the hose pops again, which it shouldn't since I'm not using 134A.
Turns out this store also carried Freeze 12. SWEET! Bought two cans, now I just need to vacuum my system again.
