quik n00b question about Manual swap

quik n00b question about Manual swap

this may sound stupid but, will the transmission s5 to s5 fit? i talked to an auto mech about it, and he asked me something about would it fit or not. i already bought it, and judging by how a few guys have already done the conversion im guessing itd fit, but i just thought it check if u had to do anything major

if you are asking if the S5 manual tranny will fit an S5 auto car...the answer is yes...but you will need to make a custom mount to hold the manual tranny ...the auto tranny mount is about 5-6" to far back...go to http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ and go to the tech section a look under auto to 5 speed conversion...this should help you do the swap...

i'd also like to add--get the pilot bearing(aka needle bearing) and oil seal for the swap...I just like to have everything so it can be done right the first time!!

Mazda part number are N326-11-D03 (pilot bearing) and 1881-11-404 (oil seal)---they are small parts--about the size of a penny in diameter!!

these go into the eccentric shaft...the pilot bearing first then the oil seal!!!
