Quick vacuum line question
Quick vacuum line question
The FSM is a bit difficult to puzzle out for this particular line.
There's a nipple on the middle iron that's apparently to help fuel atomization. Mine is currently capped off, because I had no idea where it went.
According to some other posts, it attaches to the throttle body... somewhere. I can't figure out exactly where it goes, and it appears that the vacuum is run through the solenoid rack somehow (I don't have any lines long enough to fit).
Does this connect to the three fittings on the front of the throttle body? I'm taking the intake manifold off here at some point in the near future anyway, so I'll deal with it then.
Also, with emissions removed, is there any way to purge the charcoal canister? I assume if I just hook it to a vacuum source I'll throw all sorts of things out of whack. It smells of fuel, and is apparently venting vapors overboard, which isn't a problem, but if there's no way to purge it, I may as well just eliminate it.
