Quick Swap Question

Could I swap my '87 engine/tranny into a (S4, don't know the year of the guy's car) GXL? I have a guy who is going to sell me his S4 GXL w/o the engine or tranny (which is fine bc I still have mine obviously). IDK if the driveline will come with it, but if not, will the '87 Sport driveline match up to the GXL's LSD? Also, since it has the AAS, are any of the suspension parts capable of being swapped?

Yes..it is all good.
you are fine putting the engine in and the Lsd is no issue.
You can use whatever suspension you like.

Okay cool. Just wondering because If I buy the rolling shell I don't want to not be able to carry over random odd things over from my current car to it. So pretty much everything is interchangeable? Wiring harness included?

yeah, it is s4.na to s4.na golden

The only way you would start running into issues is if you were swapping turbo components or components from an s5 (88+)
