Quick question on changing plugs
Hi,
I'm doing some routine maintenance tomorrow, including spark plugs, and I can't remember.. is it better to let the car sit overnight and change them on a cold engine, or should I warm it up, let it cool down for an hour or two and then change them? I want them to come out easy.
Thx

Plugs are easier to remove when cold.
Don't use anti-sieze on your NGK spark plugs. See this TB:

I have the dealer change the plugs on my F150. I swear there is no way for a normal human being to change the plug closest to the passenger side of the firewall, lol.

i find them easier to remove when hot, broken a number of plugs on cold engines.
and +1 on no anti seize. if the plugs are getting difficult to install or remove the threads should be cleaned. best method i use is apply MMO to the plug threads and run them in and out by finger a few times. the carbon will come out on the threads and get easier to thread in and out each pass.
