quick question(alternator)

can I use 89-91 alternator into 86-88?

hey wai, i'm not sure if u check your pm, but...

Yes you can. It bolts right in... you have to make some little "jumper" wires though.

Also, an FD alternator will go in almost as easy. You have to find a pulley for it though- or drill out the old pulley and spacer, since they use a ribbed-belt and the shaft is larger.

I have a write-up on my website about this- I did it on my 88 Convertible.
